Tuesday 3rd August 21:00-23:00

Server / Application / Environment / Database affected: A-Cloud, Healthcloud and Colo Clients

Detail: As part of the Service Improvement Programme, we are starting the process of replacing our three edge routers with more capable and secure gateways that will guarantee an improve of stability and speed in our infrastructure and services offered to our customers.

Risk: As with any change, there is always an element of risk associated with this kind of change, and although the risk being very low, it may have an impact on internet connectivity. As part of standard AIMES processes, the full implementation plan and configuration has been through the approval process and configuration has been checked within the network team.

Impact: During the process , routing protocols metrics will be altered to route all inbound and outbound traffic through the other two gateways, you may experience latency and instances of packets being lost while the current gateway hops to the next physical device.

Two routers will continue to work in active/standby mode , guaranteeing a highly available network even during the migration process.

Updates will be provided at the AIMES Status page: https://status.aimes.uk/
